Bonnie Rairdon

Bonnie as born on February 7, 1954 in Maxwell, NB, one of twelve children of Mozart and Orsie Ivey.  She began her musical career as a child singing in her community Pentecostal Church/  As a preteen, she entertained on the Jeannie Wood CFNB-TV Show "Time For Juniors".  Bonnie comes from a very talented family who's musical heritage is deeply rooted in country, gospel, and bluegrass,

Durning Bonnie's college days, she was featured on numerous variety shows and auditioned and accepted a guest performance on the weekly "Ralph Hall Show" in Houlton, Maine in 1979.  Bonnie's first album release was "Will It Be Worth It All" in 1990 at the Kitty Wells Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.  The second album, "Praying" was recorded in 1996 at  Traveler Records in Texas.  Since that time, Bonnie has released a third titled "A Grand Celebration" in Maine at Roe Studios.

Bonnie, along with Doctor Dale, are currently working on two new releases.

Bonnie has performed in Ireland at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Appalachian Jubilee in Pennsylvania, Imperial Theater St. John Playhouse in Fredericton, Waldo Theatre in Waldo, Rusty Rogers Tribute To The American Cowboys in Massachusetts, throughout most of the United Sates and Canada. She performs at the Hank Snow original band "The Rainbow Ranch Boys". She is the co-writer of three award winning songs: "Diamond and a Rose" "Grand Celebration", and "Walk With My Lord".

Her songs have air play in Europe to include Germany, Ireland, France and Belgium, etc. In 2009, she was nominated to the "Maine Country Music Hall of Fame".

Bonnie has won numerous awards from various associations within Maine.  2009 being no exception, from the Pine Tree State Country Music Association she received Female Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Bluegrass Artist, and Gospel Artist of the Year. She received an honorary degree from Alderson Broddus College University of Hard Knocks in West Virginia.  Bonnie has performed with numerous performers such as Dick Curless, Doc and Chickie Williams, Alan Mac MacHale, Gene and Flo Hooper, Yodelin' Slim Clark, Ivan Hicks, Allison Inch, Gary Morris, Jack McAfee, and many more.  Rusty Rogers considers Bonnie his top female performer.

She has received both the Rusty Rogers and Dick Curless Award for the Maine Country Music Association and continues to perform and promote OLe Time Country gospel and Bluegrass Music on both sides of the border.
